Helping the Kittitas Valley Community walk taller since 2003

Welcome to Ellensburg Chiropractic and Massage, conveniently located near Fred Meyer. Here, our professionals know that your experience is not just about addressing current issues and sending you on your way: it is about addressing old problem patterns and establishing new postural habits, flexibility, strength, and core endurance. It is about making your everyday living activities easier and pain free! Our mission is to help our patients accomplish these goals in a fun, compassionate, and efficient way.

We aim to educate our patients in a safe environment while offering them necessary comprehensive care. We understand that many people have anxiety about starting chiropractic care, so we have listed a few common questions and answers below. If you have additional questions, we would love to talk to you. Come by or give us a call today!

Q: What happens when I come in?

A: Care begins with a history and examination assessing patients and their specific conditions. If indicated, x-rays can be taken and read by the doctors. Some patients may receive their first treatment after the initial assessment.

Q: What happens during my first treatment?

A: The first treatment begins with the doctor discussing your specific case and recommendations. Care is tailored to the individual and can include services to reduce tension and increase circulation. Adjustments and progress are noted each treatment as well as set re-examination appointments to constantly serve each case and individuals specific needs and rate of healing.

Q: What does the treatment look like?

A: We may use a variety of methods depending on your specific needs such as the following: vibropercussion, intersegmental traction, heat, and soft tissue work. Our adjustments may be done with light force adjusting instrument options, or by hand. We will also use stretching, strengthening, and neuromuscular re-eduction to break old problem patterns and establish new postural habits, flexibility, strength, and core endurance.

Q: So how do I pay for all of this?

A: We accept most insurance types (please see our insurance provider list here). Our office staff is stellar at reviewing your insurance details so that you can feel confident in using and understanding your insurance.

Dr. Gary Favero, DC

Dr. Gary Favero has lived in Kittitas County his whole life. After growing up playing basketball and battling reoccurring back pain, Dr. Favero experience his first chiropractic care visit and after consistent treatment he finally knew what a healthy body felt like! Dr. Favero attended Life Chiropractic College-West and graduated in 1998. In 2003, he opened Ellensburg Chiropractic. When asked what he loves most about the office, Dr. Favero said the following: "nothing charges me more than knowing treatment at my office provides patients with hope and relief. All too often patients come in full of despair, using chiropractic as an option after other efforts have failed. I am excited to see new patients, but what really keeps me going is seeing those patients become happy, healthy, and hopeful members of our community." When he is not in the office helping our community gain greater health, he can be found playing basketball, coaching basketball, spending quality time with this wife and kids, hunting, working at NASA, and wondering around in the great outdoors.

Dr. Dan M. Keffeler, PS

Dr. Dan Keffeler attended Omak High School before joining our wonderful Ellensburg community in 1997 to attend CWU. After his time as a Wildcat, he received his Dr. of Chiropractic Medicine from the University of Western States in 2014. He moved back to Ellensburg with his wife shortly after and joined our Ellensburg Chiropractic team. His favorite aspect of the office is his incredible (and hilarious) coworkers and being able to serve and connect with the community. When he is not in the office, Dr. Keffeler can be found spending time with his family and dogs, making high-end cutlery, competing in blade sports, riding mountain bikes, and fueling himself with the amazing BBQ of Fire & Smoke.

Lonnie Allphin.

Lonnie leads our hard working team as the Office Manager. She is an EHS Alumni (Go Dawgs!) as well as YVCC. She enjoys working with such a diverse patient base day in and day out. Having the opportunity to work as a team to uniquely serve patients medical needs while connecting with them on  a personal level is the ultimate reward. She also gets to experience all of Dr. Favero's stand up comedy shows from the front row and still says he is "da' man!" Outside of the office, Lonnie can be found chasing her 15 year old daughter all across the Pacific Northwest for sports and actives, helping her 22 year old daughter in her kinder class hobby room, and spending time with the whole family (Sunday night family dinners, fishing, baking, and going to concerts with her hubby). Her go-to restaurant in town is The Starlight because of their Thai Prawns (she also wouldn't say no to a Sintini every now and again).

Tori Ackerlund , Front Office Staff/Administrative Assistant

Tori is one of Ellensburg's own having attended EHS. She was a part of the last graduating class to never experience the new school. Having been born and raised in Ellensburg, she developed a great love for fishing, boating, golfing (especially on all of our windless days), and Bleachers (yum!). When she isn't enjoying the great outdoors, she is keeping our office staff on task and holding down the front desk fort. Her favorite part of working at Ellensburg Chiropractic is visiting with the patients and getting to help them get the best care possible.

Cassie Gruber, Front Office Staff/Administrative Assistant

Cassie has been an Ellensburg resident for seven short months. She is attending CWU and will be graduating in the spring with her BS in Biology. In her words, "everyone has welcomed me with open arms, patients, and the staff has been so friendly and supportive since I started." When Cassie isn't studying, working, or eating at Sugar Thai (her favorite Ellensburg restaurant), she can be found walking her dog, hiking, camping, painting, or fishing.

Chandler Shirey, Licensed Massage Therapist

In 2016, Chandler Shirey earned her Massage Therapist license from Cortiva Institute of Massage Therapy. She moved to Ellensburg in the fall of 2016 and has loved working with the people in the community to heal and promote positive change. When she isn't being goofy with her coworkers, Chandler can be found camping, hiking, and spending time with her family. Much like her co-workers, there is nothing like a good meal at The Pasta Co. or Sugar Thai after a long day of healing.
